Muharram

Holy Qur'aan states, “Indeed, the number of months in the register of ALLAH is twelve (from) the day He created heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred.” (Holy Qur’aan - 9:36) The month of Muharram is one of the sacred months. It marks the beginning of the Islamic year. The sanctity of this month is emphasized by the word “ Muharram ”, which means 'sacred'. So the question arises, “How do we make the most of this blessed phase? ” 1) Be keen to do good: Hazrat Ibn Abbaas (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said, “Good deeds during the four sacred months (including Muharram) bring a greater reward.” So, we should definitely hasten to do maximum good deeds. 3 www.UniversalAim.org
